About the Journal

The Innovative Research Journal of Artificial Intelligence (IRJAI) is a biannual (published in June and December), open-access, and double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research and innovation in Artificial Intelligence and related computational sciences. It provides an international platform for researchers, engineers, academicians, industry professionals, and policymakers to publish original, high-quality studies that contribute to the development and responsible application of intelligent technologies.

Mission Statement

The mission of IRJAI is to advance knowledge in Artificial Intelligence through rigorous, ethical, and impactful research while presenting a positive image of Pakistan to the global scientific and technological community.

By encouraging contributions from underrepresented regions, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and rural areas of Pakistan, IRJAI highlights the technological potential of local researchers and their capacity to contribute to international AI discourse.

Through open access, peer review, and global collaboration, IRJAI seeks to strengthen AI research worldwide, promote responsible and ethical AI innovation, provide opportunities for both early-career and experienced researchers, and foster a culture of excellence, inclusivity, and integrity in AI research.

Publication Charges

Article Processing Charges (APC) are nil. IRJAI is fully funded through collaborations, sponsorships, and personal contributions, ensuring free publication and free access for all authors and readers.

Peer Review Policy

IRJAI follows a double-blind peer-review process. Each submission is evaluated by at least two experts in the relevant AI field to ensure academic rigor, impartiality, originality, and technical quality before publication.

Ethical Standards

The journal strictly adheres to international research ethics and publishing guidelines, including:

  • ICMJE (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors)
  • COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)
  • WAME (World Association of Medical Editors)
  • DORA (Declaration on Research Assessment)

All authors must ensure originality, transparency, reproducibility, and ethical compliance, particularly in research involving data privacy, algorithmic fairness, and AI deployment affecting human subjects.

Plagiarism and AI Policy

  • Submissions are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin.
  • The similarity index must not exceed 18%.
  • Use of AI tools (including generative AI systems) must be clearly disclosed and align with COPE guidance on transparency and research integrity.

Licensing and Copyright

All articles are published under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC license:

  • BY – Proper credit must be given to the author(s).
  • NC – Use is restricted to non-commercial purposes.

Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting IRJAI permission to publish.

Open Access Policy

IRJAI provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that freely available AI research fosters innovation, collaboration, and technological advancement worldwide.

Archiving and Indexing

All articles are digitally preserved through LOCKSS and CLOCKSS networks and hosted on the OJS/PKP platform for secure, long-term access.

Articles are also archived in the Innovative Research Journals Publication Library. Authors may self-archive their manuscripts in institutional or subject-specific repositories.
