Innovative Research Journal of Education (IRJED)
The Innovative Research Journal of Education (IRJED) is a biannual (published in June and December), open-access, and double-blind peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing research and scholarship in education. It provides a platform for educators, researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to publish original, high-quality studies that contribute to improving educational theory, practice, and policy.
Mission Statement
The mission of the IRJED is to advance knowledge in education through rigorous, ethical, and impactful research while presenting a positive image of Pakistan to the global academic community.
By encouraging contributions from underrepresented regions, particularly Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and rural areas of Pakistan, IRJED highlights the intellectual potential of local researchers and their capacity to contribute to international educational discourse.
Through open access, peer review, and collaboration, IRJED seeks to:
- Strengthen Pakistan’s academic visibility globally,
- Promote evidence-based solutions to educational challenges,
- Provide opportunities for both early-career and experienced researchers, and
- Foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, and integrity in education research.

Publication Charges
Article Processing Charges (APC): NIL
IRJED is fully funded through collaborations, sponsorships, and personal contributions, ensuring free publication and free access for all.
Peer Review Policy
IRJED follows a double-blind peer-review process. Each submission is evaluated by at least two experts in the field to ensure academic rigor, impartiality, and quality before publication.
Ethical Standards
The journal strictly adheres to international research ethics and publishing guidelines, including:
- COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics)
- DORA (Declaration on Research Assessment)
All authors must ensure originality, proper citations, and compliance with ethical standards in research involving human participants.
Plagiarism and AI Policy
- Submissions are screened for plagiarism using Turnitin.
- The similarity index must not exceed 18%.
- Use of AI tools must be clearly disclosed and align with COPE guidance on transparency and ethics.
Licensing and Copyright
All articles are published under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC license:
- BY – Proper credit must be given to the author(s).
- NC – Use is restricted to non-commercial purposes.
Authors retain full copyright of their work while granting IRJED permission to publish.
Open Access Policy
IRJED provides immediate open access to its content, based on the principle that freely available research fosters knowledge sharing and educational progress worldwide.
Archiving and Indexing
All articles are digitally preserved through LOCKSS and CLOCKSS networks and hosted on the OJS/PKP platform for secure, long-term access.
Articles are also archived in the Innovative Research Journals Publication Library. Authors may also self-archive their manuscripts in institutional or subject-specific repositories.
