Publishing Model and System

IRJPL operates a fully online publishing system based on OJS, which serves as the central platform for managing the entire editorial and publication workflow.

Step 1: Manuscript Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the OJS portal, where each submission is automatically registered in the system with complete metadata for tracking and processing.

Step 2: Initial Editorial Screening
Submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the editorial office within OJS to assess scope relevance, formatting compliance, originality, and adherence to journal policies.

Step 3: Peer Review Management
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to independent reviewers through the OJS system. The platform facilitates secure reviewer invitations, response tracking, and submission of confidential peer review reports under a double-blind review model.

Step 4: Revision Tracking and Author Communication
Authors are notified through OJS to submit revisions based on reviewer comments. All revision cycles are tracked within the system, ensuring full documentation of changes and editorial decisions.

Step 5: Final Decision and Publication
Final editorial decisions are made by the Editor-in-Chief or designated handling editor based on peer review outcomes. Accepted manuscripts are processed for publication and made available online in Early View format.

The OJS platform ensures transparency by allowing authors to monitor the real-time status of their manuscripts at each stage of the editorial process. This structured system also clearly separates administrative operations from editorial decision-making, thereby ensuring editorial independence, accountability, and integrity throughout the publication workflow.
