Data Sharing Policy
IRABCS recognizes that transparent access to research data promotes scientific integrity, reproducibility, collaboration, and advancement of knowledge.
The journal encourages authors to share research data, analytical procedures, protocols, and supporting materials whenever possible while respecting ethical, legal, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
Data Availability Statement
Authors submitting manuscripts to IRABCS should provide a clear statement describing the availability of data supporting their research findings.
The Data Availability Statement should explain whether the data are publicly accessible, available from the corresponding author upon reasonable request, deposited in a recognized repository, or restricted due to ethical, legal, privacy, or institutional limitations.
Where data cannot be shared, authors should provide a transparent explanation describing the reason for restriction.
Data Sharing Requirements
Authors are encouraged to provide sufficient information to allow readers and researchers to understand, verify, and reproduce reported findings.
Where appropriate, authors should share:
- Research datasets
- Analytical procedures
- Study protocols
- Software code
- Supplementary materials
- Experimental methods
Data should be documented clearly and maintained in a format that allows meaningful interpretation and reuse.
Data Repositories
Authors are encouraged to use appropriate subject-specific or general-purpose repositories for long-term preservation and accessibility of research data.
Examples may include institutional repositories, disciplinary databases, or recognized open data platforms.
For biological research, authors should consider appropriate databases for sequence data, genomic information, and other specialized datasets where applicable.
Confidential and Restricted Data
IRABCS recognizes that some research data cannot be openly shared due to privacy concerns, ethical restrictions, confidentiality agreements, national regulations, or protection of sensitive information.
For research involving human participants, authors must ensure that data sharing does not compromise participant privacy or confidentiality.
Restricted access arrangements may be considered when open availability is not possible.
Reviewer Access to Research Data
Editors and reviewers may request access to supporting data when necessary to evaluate the validity, reliability, and reproducibility of submitted research.
Authors should cooperate with reasonable requests while ensuring compliance with ethical and legal obligations.
