Peer Review Process

Initial Desk Screening (Days 1–5)

The Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor inspect the manuscript for alignment with the journal's Aims & Scope, adherence to formatting guidelines, and ethical standards.

Turnitin Plagiarism Screening: All submissions undergo automated similarity screening using Turnitin. Submissions with a similarity index exceeding 18% (or > 3% from a single source) are returned to authors or rejected outright.

Expert Reviewer Assignment (Days 6–21)

Manuscripts passing desk screening are assigned to a minimum of 2 independent, external peer reviewers who are recognized subject matter experts in the relevant discipline. Both reviewer and author identities remain strictly anonymous.

Evaluation & Review Criteria (Days 22–28)

Reviewers critically assess the manuscript based on originality, methodological soundness, scientific validity, clarity of presentation, and relevance. Reviewers recommend one of four decisions:

• Accept: Manuscript is accepted without changes.
• Minor Revisions: Author is invited to address minor textual or stylistic points.
• Major Revisions: Manuscript requires substantial re-analysis, additional data, or restructuring.
• Reject: Manuscript has fundamental scientific flaws or falls outside the journal scope.

Author Revision & Re-evaluation (Days 29–38)

Authors are provided anonymized reviewer reports and have 7–14 days to submit revised files accompanied by a detailed point-by-point response. Revised manuscripts may be sent back to original reviewers for verification.

Final Decision & Online Publication (Days 39–45)

The Editor-in-Chief issues the final decision. Accepted manuscripts enter professional copyediting, XML/typesetting, DOI minting, author proofing, and immediate online publication.

Average Turnaround Timeline: The average duration from initial manuscript submission to final online publication is 4 to 6 weeks.
