Revenue Transparency Policy
Innovative Research in Applied, Biological and Chemical Sciences (IRABCS) is committed to transparency regarding the financial and business arrangements that support the operation, publication, dissemination, and preservation of the journal.
IRABCS recognizes that authors, reviewers, editors, readers, institutions, indexing organizations, and other stakeholders should be able to understand the general nature of the journal's financial and publishing arrangements and how these arrangements are separated from editorial decision-making.
The journal maintains a clear distinction between financial, administrative, and commercial activities and the independent responsibilities of the editorial team.
Publishing Business Model
IRABCS provides transparent information regarding its publishing and business model through the journal website. Depending on the journal's applicable arrangements, financial support may be derived from publication-related charges, article processing charges, institutional support, sponsorship, advertising, grants, donations, reprints, supplementary publications, special issues, or other legitimate publishing activities.
Any applicable charges, financial obligations, or publishing arrangements relevant to authors are communicated clearly before or during the submission and publication process.
IRABCS does not use financial arrangements to make misleading claims regarding editorial quality, indexing status, scientific impact, acceptance, or publication priority.
Publication Charges and Author Payments
Where IRABCS charges authors for publication-related services, the applicable charges are disclosed through the journal's Publication Charges and Waiver Policy.
Any submission fee, article processing charge, editorial processing fee, page charge, production charge, language-related charge, color charge, or other publication-related fee, where applicable, must be communicated transparently to authors.
If the journal does not charge a particular type of fee, this should be stated clearly on the relevant journal webpage so that authors can understand their financial obligations before submission.
Payment of a publication-related charge does not guarantee acceptance or publication. Financial considerations must not influence peer review or editorial decisions.
Waivers and Discounts
Where fee waivers or discounts are available, the eligibility requirements and application process are described separately in the journal's Publication Charges and Waiver Policy.
Requests for waivers or discounts are handled independently of scientific and editorial evaluation wherever practicable. An author's request for financial assistance must not negatively influence the assessment of the manuscript.
Sponsorship and Institutional Support
Where IRABCS receives financial or material support from institutions, organizations, academic societies, research bodies, sponsors, or other legitimate sources, such support must be managed transparently and must not compromise editorial independence.
Sponsors and supporting organizations must not have authority over manuscript selection, peer review, editorial decisions, publication timing, research conclusions, corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions.
Financial or institutional support must not be used to influence the scientific content or editorial direction of the journal.
Advertising Revenue
Where IRABCS accepts advertising, advertising revenue is considered an administrative or business activity and remains separate from editorial decision-making.
Advertisers must not receive preferential treatment in manuscript evaluation, peer review, publication, indexing, correction, retraction, or any other editorial process.
Advertising arrangements must not determine whether research is accepted, rejected, published, promoted, corrected, or retracted.
All advertising activities are governed by the journal's Advertising Policy.
Reprints, Supplements, and Special Issues
Where IRABCS generates revenue through article reprints, supplementary publications, special issues, sponsored material, or related publishing services, these activities must remain separate from scientific and editorial decision-making.
Financial arrangements associated with reprints, supplements, or special issues must not influence the acceptance, rejection, prioritization, or editorial treatment of individual manuscripts.
Any sponsored or specially funded content remains subject to the journal's normal editorial, peer-review, research-integrity, and publication-ethics requirements.
Editorial Independence
Financial considerations must never determine scientific or editorial decisions.
The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team retain independent responsibility for manuscript evaluation, peer review, acceptance, rejection, revision, correction, expression of concern, and retraction.
The amount of revenue generated by an author, institution, sponsor, advertiser, or other organization must not influence the editorial treatment of that author's or organization's research.
Separation of Financial and Editorial Functions
IRABCS maintains an appropriate separation between financial or administrative functions and editorial responsibilities.
Individuals responsible for financial or commercial activities must not interfere with the scientific assessment of manuscripts. Similarly, editors must not be pressured to accept manuscripts, alter peer-review outcomes, prioritize particular authors, or modify editorial decisions for financial reasons.
Transparency and Accountability
IRABCS is committed to providing authors and readers with accurate and understandable information about the journal's publishing operations and financial arrangements that directly affect authors or the publication process.
When significant changes occur in the journal's business model, publication charges, waiver arrangements, sponsorship arrangements, or other relevant financial policies, the applicable information will be updated on the journal website in a timely manner.
Protection of Editorial Independence
No source of revenue, author payment, sponsor, advertiser, institutional relationship, grant, donation, or other commercial arrangement may compromise the independence of IRABCS editorial decisions.
Financial activities exist to support legitimate journal operations, including editorial management, peer review, publication, digital hosting, preservation, and dissemination of scholarly research. They must remain subordinate to the journal's commitment to research integrity, editorial independence, peer-review quality, transparency, and responsible scholarly communication.
