Publication Ethics Policy

Innovative Research in Applied, Biological and Chemical Sciences (IRABCS) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and research integrity. The journal considers ethical publishing practices essential for maintaining trust in scientific communication and protecting the reliability of the scholarly record.

IRABCS follows internationally recognized principles of responsible publishing and expects authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher to act with honesty, transparency, accountability, and professionalism throughout the publication process.

The journal follows ethical principles recommended by organizations including the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), and the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME).

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors

Authors submitting manuscripts to IRABCS are responsible for ensuring that their research has been conducted ethically and that the reported findings accurately represent the work performed.

Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts contain original research, provide accurate descriptions of methods and results, appropriately acknowledge previous work, and avoid fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, and other forms of misconduct.

Authors must disclose all relevant conflicts of interest, provide information regarding funding sources, obtain required ethical approvals, and ensure that research involving humans, animals, or biological materials complies with applicable ethical standards.

Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to multiple journals or publish substantially similar research in more than one publication without appropriate disclosure and justification.

Ethical Responsibilities of Editors

Editors of IRABCS are responsible for maintaining fairness, transparency, confidentiality, and integrity throughout the editorial process.

Editors must evaluate manuscripts objectively based on scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, ethical compliance, and relevance to the journal scope.

Editors must avoid conflicts of interest and should withdraw from editorial decisions when personal, professional, financial, or institutional relationships may influence impartial judgment.

Editors must protect confidential information obtained during manuscript handling and must not use unpublished information for personal advantage.

Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers contribute to maintaining publication quality by providing independent and constructive evaluations of submitted manuscripts.

Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and must not share, reproduce, or use unpublished information obtained during peer review.

Reviewers should provide objective comments supported by scientific reasoning and should identify methodological weaknesses, missing references, ethical concerns, or possible research misconduct.

Reviewers must disclose potential conflicts of interest and decline assignments when they cannot provide an unbiased evaluation.

Handling Ethical Concerns

IRABCS takes allegations of ethical misconduct seriously. Concerns related to plagiarism, data manipulation, fabricated results, inappropriate authorship, duplicate publication, conflicts of interest, or other violations are investigated according to established publication ethics procedures.

The journal may request explanations from authors, examine supporting evidence, consult independent experts, and communicate with relevant institutions when necessary.

Appropriate actions may include manuscript rejection, correction, expression of concern, retraction, or other measures required to maintain the integrity of the scientific record.
